Stylish, arty Melbourne is a city that’s both dynamic and cosmopolitan, and proud of its place as Australia’s cultural capital. Experience Melbourne’s mix of cultures in its myriad restaurants, cafes, bistros and bars. Share a drink while snacking on high end tapas in a laneway eatery, take on a Szechuan chilli dish in Chinatown, or discover the city’s specialist eating destinations – Richmond for Vietnamese, Carlton’s ‘Little Italy’, Fitzroy for Spanish and Brunswick for Lebanese. The city is also well-known as a source of inspiration for artists, writers and musicians. Explore the history and creativity hidden in the laneways and byways on one of the city’s arts walks or tours, or visit one of the many galleries ranging from large public institutions to smaller commercial galleries and artist cooperative.

I am confident that you will find the meeting both scientifically stimulating and informative. We look forward to meeting you in Melbourne.
